CourseWeaver Recruits Two Prominent Leaders in Educational Technology to It’s Advisory Board

East Lansing, MI – CourseWeaver, an educational software company based out of East Lansing, MI has announced today that it has recruited two prominent national leaders in educational technology to its advisory board, David Gift and Phil Mansour. The two bring with them a wealth of insight and experience with more than thirty years in the industry.

“David and Phil’s extensive experience and leadership roles in educational technology will be valuable additions to our advisory board,” said CourseWeaver CEO Rob Fulk. “As we continue the development of the CourseWeaver platform, we will greatly benefit from their expertise and we’re fortunate to have them as a part of our team.”

David Gift

David Gift is currently the Associate Vice President for Community Engagement at Internet2 and has worked there since early 2014. He is also Vice Provost Emeritus for Libraries and IT Services, and CIO, and adjunct assistant professor of radiology, at Michigan State University. After retiring from MSU and just prior to joining Internet2, Dave served as Vice President for Strategic Initiatives at Merit Network, Inc., Michigan’s advanced research and education network.

Dave currently chairs the board of directors of the Council on Library and Information Resources (Washington, D.C.), where he also has advised CLIR’s post-doctoral fellowship programs. Dave holds degrees in physics (B.S.) and computer science (M.S.) from Michigan State University, and is an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow (S.M.) of the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Phil Mansour

Phil Mansour is a seasoned executive with 23 years of experience in both entrepreneurial and established corporate environments leading top-flight product development organizations and providing visionary educational technology products.

He began his career at NCS Learn (Pearson Educational Technology) where he worked for 18 years and became VP of product development, adaptive learning systems & adult learning and product research and development. After leaving Pearson, Phil joined Compass Learning as an education technology consultant and became VP of Strategic Initiatives/CTO.
